A man is shot, but no blood is visible.

There just isn't any.

It's a movie from the '40s. There's rarely a scene where someone ISN'T smoking or drinking. Main character smokes a lot. Another character drinks a lot.

One character is slipped a mickey and passes out.

Some of the music can really heighten up the tension in certain scenes, but nothing that intense.
