The friendly tailor Peter works hard to feed his family and make his strict wife happy. When his brother suddenly returns home from America with money in his pocket, things take a turn for the worse in the small town of Ebberød. And soon Peter can write a most unexpected title on the business card: director of Ebberød Bank.
