Pardon Our Nerve (1939)

Terry Wilson and Judy Davis are jobless and broke, and apartment manager Flemingwell is dunning them for $250.00 back rent. An escort-service bureau calls them to pose as high-society belles and go horseback-riding with Kid Ramsey, the leading light-heavyweight contender. They make friends with yokel busboy Samson Smith and his roommate Nosey Nelson. With the help of sports reporter Dick Malone, they transform Samson into a prizefighter and have him training for a championship match.
