This is an action adventure movie, with several acts of violence in which people are killed or wounded by bullets or tomahawks. No blood or gore is shown after these acts.

The Mohican friends of Hawkeye are shown scalping dead enemies, although the scene is not gratuitous. Hawkeye claims this is no different from wearing a medal.
