Several suitors try to get the attention of a woman, one of which seems to be pushing romantic/sexual advances without her consent in at least one scene.

Several swords are shown near the ending of the movie being handled by men, but are almost never used.

The movie takes place in a setting with a somewhat frightening/intense atmosphere. "The Cabinet of Dr. Caligari" is a good comparison, as well as many other Weimar era films.
