The Trail of Hate (1922)

Cowboy Silent Kerry falls in love with Mary Stockdale during his sojourn in the East and later rescues her from two drunks when she visits the West. It develops that Mary's father is an unwitting dupe of a gang of rustlers, and Carmencita, a dance hall girl, leads Mary to believe that she is secretly married to Kerry. Kerry and his fellow townsmen decide to rid themselves of the rustlers, whose leader, Jack Beecker, kidnaps Mary and Kerry's sister; thrilling action brings the gang to justice; Beecker falls over a cliff in a fight with Kerry.
