The fates of several young girls are portrayed in episodic form. Their social decline leads to prostitution, their life ends in a brothel or in the gutter. The story is in-closed by framework of a fictional an institution of justice, a court on prostitution, moral decline of young girls contrasted by current social values and the bourgeois customs.
