It's almost all based on the story of a penguin. However, that leads to facing most of natures facts as well. Every once in a while, characters would mention mating. As we all know, mating is sexual. Even if there is no nudity. And the villain attempts to (what only adults could understand) force a female penguin to mate with him. In other words, he attempts to rape her. The hero shows up in time but this is still disturbing just thinking about what would have happened if the hero hadn't appeared.

Hubie and Drake have a pretty intense fight in the climax of the film.

Smoking can be seen in the movie. One of the penguins smokes a tobacco pipe. Also one of the sailor men also smokes from a tobacco pipe.

The scene with the Leopard Seal trying to eat both Hubie and Rocko may scare little kids. Also the scene with the killer whale trying to eat Hubie may also scare little kids.
