The first scene depicts a few naked men from the back as they are bathing. Naked women are also visible, but only very brief glimpses of their buttocks at a distance.

A sex scene takes place about half way through the film. While it has no nudity and is seen from outside a window, its sexual content is quite clear, and the camera returns to the scene three times. We see a man disrobing a woman, we see her bare back, him grabbing her behind, some very obvious thrusting and moaning sounds.

A woman asks a man to kill another man in a moment of anger, but this does not occur.

A woman is roughly thrown to the ground by a man in anger for doing something she was falsely accused of.

There is a great deal of alcohol consumption at a ball. Some characters are seen drinking to excess.

Treachery and false accusations are a key themes in the play. Sometimes intense but never over-the-top.

A man is tricked into believing his fiancé had cheated on him, and he accuses her of adultery in a very emotionally intense scene.
