Blackout (1988)

Caroline Boyle returns to her childhood home in Northern California, drawn there by a cryptic letter from her father, who abandoned her and her mother when she was a child. Caroline's frosty mother is less than cordial at her daughter's arrival but her step-father welcomes her kindly.
