Generally speaking there is a lot of nudity in this film, especially male as the lead walks around completely naked frequently, fully exposed. The female "full frontal" is limited to frequent breasts and heavy pubic hair. At no point is the female genitalia displayed in this film.

The original, released in theaters in France and the US, and on video (vhs, dvd and bluray) which is R-rated, which includes semi nude, female nudity, and several sex scenes with people half dressed or partially under covers engaged in implied sex. There is also an unrated later directors cut with significantly more nudity, although no aroused male frontal and no penetration

The movie opens with a realistic, graphic scene of a man and woman making love on a bed, completely nude. The woman climaxes in the scene. Penetration is not seen.

A woman tries to proposition a man, undoing her clothes and thrusting herself at him. His face is briefly in her crotch.

In a heated argument between two women, one stabs the other in the arm with a fork.

Although only the aftermath is shown, a woman commits self-harm. The bathroom is shown, with blood everywhere, including a hand print.
