During Ataru's "harem dream sequence", we see lots of girls in bikinis, some of whom are topless (no explicit detail is seen other than the side of one's breast).

In one of Ataru's other dreams, we see the character holding Lum's only bra. Her breasts can briefly be seen (no explicit detail); however, she quickly covers them.

A few scenes of mild violence which mostly play out humorous, and include electrocutation, beating and yelling.

As in the original TV-series, Shutaro Mendou tries to attack Ataru with a sword.

The English dub has no swearing. The official subtitled version contains occasional use of "damn" and "hell", as well as one use of "bastard" and "ass".

References are made to a man appearing "wasted."

High school students reference wishing they had beer briefly, though none is actually seen or consumed.

The overall feeling of the film is dark and foreboding, in stark contrast to the first movie and the original TV series.
