Happy Memories (1981)

Viviane, like her mother before her, abandoned her father and younger sister Marie. Years later she returns to try and make amends and finds that her father is still consumed by memories of abandonment. Together her father and sister have created a strange and hermetic relationship in their secluded island home. Her conniving sister reinforces her father's negative feelings towards Viviane and milks her father's favoritism for all it's worth. Viviane desperately tries to heal the wounds she has caused while battling her own demons.
