One scene features some brief references to a threesome.

In an interrogation scene, a woman (Elisabeth Margoni) is forced out of a robe under which she is completely nude. Full frontal and rear nudity are shown. She is about to be tortured/raped in the nude by a female interrogator (Dany Kogan) when she is rescued by her husband.

In another scene, an prostitute enters a room only to realize that her customer has visitors. She is wearing a skimpy thong (she is covered from the waist-up).

In another scene, the prostitute is shown in short teddy-type lingerie.

2 kissing scenes are present in the film

A man is stabbed in the back with a pickaxe. We see the axe stuck in his back with blood running down his clothes. He falls into the sea dead, and the water around him turns red.

In a prison camp, a prisoner is whipped by a guard because he's not doing him job. Another prisoner attacks the guard in defense of his inmate. Other guards arrive and brutally beat him up.

A village is raided by armed men. They shoot the animals, set the cottages on fire, etc. A few people get shot and killed in this scene.

There are a number of fight scenes in the film which feature kicking, punching, shoving, etc with the aftermath sight of people with bruises. Shootouts are also present, some bloodless and some with sight of blood spurting from the wounds.

There is a close up of a man getting injected.

A woman is drowned by a man in a bath tub. It happens off-screen and we just hear her struggling and gasping and later see her body in the tub.

Some swearing. All in French language.

Some scenes of violence, most notably the pickaxe scene, may be intense for some viewers. But generally the film feels quite tame by today's standards and the violent scenes are also not as graphic and realistic as in today's movies.

The ending can be emotional and hard to watch for some.
