The Bloodstained Shadow (1978)

Only one scene of nudity in the movie when the pair makes love. Woman's body is fully visible while man's is obscured by hers.

It's very clear that some two characters are gay or otherwise in a same-sex relationship.

Scenes of strangulation, one scene of stabbing, some blood and violence shown on corpses and a scene of suicide.

Two women, one early on on the movie and one in a flashback, are shown violently throttled by their necks by gloved killers before they're thrown to the ground. Their corpses are later scene at the same scenes.

A woman is turned over to reveal her throat's been slashed, her dead eyes gaping. We see a bloody wound over her neck.

An elderly woman in a wheelchair is startled by an unseen killer with a flashlight. She tries to wheel herself away, but the killer catches her. Although it switches from the actress to a prop effigy, the woman is forced into and violently turned in the open flames of a fireplace.

A statue of Jesus crucified nearly topples on a priest, who jumps out of the way in time, before the statue breaks into pieces when hitting the floor.

A goat's head is seen in a small storage compartment. We see the goat's face and eyes, and their head is bloodily skinned and displayed facing the character finding it.

A skull is placed on a small platform with a background of red velvet. It appears filthy and rotted, but the graphics are moderate.

A character is stabbed in his shoulder by an unseen figure, shortly before he gets away and the figure runs.

Moderate smoking and drinking observed, but implied as copious in certain context a few times throughout the film.

The violence, terror, and jump scares of the scenes, even with props, can be distressing for viewers. There are scenes of screaming, moderate to severe gore, and animal cruelty.

Distressing religious topics are present in the movie, including seances, destruction of a statue of Christ, countless talks and acts of sin, and details of confessionals.
