Several scenes set in a strip club that features dancers in sexy costumes, shots of bare breasts and butts, and some risque humor during the acts.

A few sexual references in the film but nothing very graphic.

We see an old man's naked butt briefly as he walks naked through his house(all frontal nudity is obscured by objects).

We see a topless woman in a shower briefly.

A woman beats up another woman. This scene is shot and edited very artistically so all we get is suggestions of blows before a man wrestles the woman to the floor to calm her down. As a result, the scene isn't very violent visually.

A man is roughed up by a gangster in a dark alley. The scene is very brief and very dark so we only see silhouettes of what is happening.

A man invades a house and shoots 3 people to death. One death happens offscreen (we just hear the body falling) and the other two have some blood.

A man is wounded in a shootout and we later see the slightly bloody bullet wound. We later see him touch his side and there is blood on his hand.

A gangster is killed but how it happens is confusing due to the way the film is edited. We briefly see the body in shadow. No blood in this scene.

A scene with a lot of gunfire but nobody gets hit.

A medium amount of fairly mild curse words such as "s**t", "ass", "asshole", "tits", "son of a bitch", "crap", "balls", "damn", "hell", "goddamn", and some religious exclamations. No uses of the F word.

An Italian man is called a "dago".

Social drinking and smoking throughout the film.

A joint is shown as a prop in a stage show but it isn't smoked.

Some dramatically suspenseful scenes involving a car breaking down on a freeway, murders, and a shootout.

NOTE: The content advisement for The Killing of a Chinese Bookie is based on the original 1976 version of the film running at 135 minutes. The 1978 edited version running at 108 minutes will most likely vary but it should be noted that both versions carry the same R rating.
