Some cartoonish violence and some realistic violence. Although always fairly mild, blood is shown in several scenes.
Tommy is bullied by his older cousin in one scene, although it is comical, and played for laughs. Any violence in the scene is fairly slapstick, comedic, and very mild with no blood.
In one scene a man is struck in the head by a lamp and killed. No blood is shown.
There is a short scene of a man flying a plane in the war. The plane is on fire, and we some blood dripping down the pilot's face.
A young girl hits her head against a chair off screen, but immediately afterwards we see her unconscious with blood dripping from the wound. Moments later, we see her awake and there is a scar down the side of her face.
