Luther (1974)

It is mentioned that a famous monk has fathered two children, thereby breaking his vow.

A bloody corpse is brought into a church. A man smears a priest's white surplice with blood from a corpse. A church is shown vandalized. We hear the sounds of an insurrection being put down. A town square is shown strewn with corpses; one is mutilated, one is hanged, one is impaled.

Reference is made to "the balls of the Medici," i.e. Pope Leo X's family.

A mass is celebrated with wine in the chalice. Wine is served at a meal after mass.
