Dr. Max (1974)

Dr Maxwell Gordon is a dedicated, old-fashioned GP practicing medicine in a run-down Baltimore neighborhood. When the wife of his best friend suffers a relapse during her treatment for Hodgkin's disease and a 10-year-old patient comes down with a mysterious paralysis, his troubles are compounded by a crisis in his own family.
