The Reason Why (1974)

In the year 1953, in a smoky village of Macedonia, a strange murder is committed. During the hearing, it appears from the testimonies of the witnesses that the real causes were not some usual land disputes, as originally considered by the gendarmerie and the prosecutor, but the financial disputes and the relentless conflicts between tobacco growers and tobacco traders.
