What was the great scientist of antiquity drawing in the sand? Proof of a new theorum or design of one more engineering wonder? We will never know about the way he managed to calculate square roots of large numbers and how he could reduce an enemies warships to ashes to the direction of mirrors. And we don't know the details of his life but his immortal scientific works still reach us today.
