In two different scenes a live turtle is crushed underfoot. The resulting crushed and bloodied body is then shown.

A man's face explodes violently followed by protracted blood spray from what is left of the head. The scene is then shown in "replay" from several angles.

The severely decayed corpse of the man whose face had violently exploded a few scenes earlier is later shown in several close-up shots including one of a raptor picking bits of flesh out of the head and another with live insects scouring the skull.
