Rohamsisakos madonna (1984)

Lajos Bicó, local mason's father vowed during the war if he returned alive from the Don, he would erect a statue of Mary the Virgin. The old man returned home safely, but he could not make the statue. His son tries to fulfill his father's last wish, and acquires a statue of the so-called Peasant Madonna, which then becomes Madonna in a helmet. But the comrades do not take kindly the fact, it's placed on the outskirt of the village, so they instruct Lajos to demolish it. But Lajos is a good Christian, his father's will is important, so he doesn't want even to hear about the statue being dismantled.
