On the 14th of August 2017, the horrific murder of a woman shocked the friendly and quiet Flaminio neighborhood in Rome, Italy. She lived in a small apartment on 22b Via Guido Reni with her brother and killer: Maurizio Diotallevi. They were both struggling with money. And the neighbors often heard shouting and fighting by the siblings. Although, on the 14th of August, the atmosphere was suspiciously quiet. The sister went missing. Her brother, Maurizio Diotallevi, confessed to the crime after a homeless woman found the chopped off legs of the sister while roaming in the garbage cans across the streets from their residence. The Italian state police, therefore, led a desperate search for the rest of the body in the Flaminio neighborhood, which would later have a successful outcome. The inhabitants of the building as most of the citizens of Rome were shocked by the brutality of such acts. But the real question still stands: "How did the killer act so swiftly with the disposal of the body, if his building was attached to the First Municipality of the State Police branch?"
