The violence is all in the second half of the film and it is BRUTAL. There are graphic depictions of brutal and graphic violence shown very realistically.

A character is beaten to death offscreen. We do not see the beating but we hear it happen.

The first half is an atmospheric slow burn with generally creepy moments. The second half is faster and contains much more violence and disturbing imagery once the clowns are introduced.
