JANE, a beautiful young woman in her 20s, has been approached by KATE WESTON, a defense attorney in her early 40s, to help her with a case. Kate has had no luck in getting a confession out of BENEDICT SPENCER, a mid-20-year-old man, who is under trial for murdering his ex-girlfriend, SARAH, who is also Kate's daughter. Jane, a theatre artist by profession, is promised a better offer in the acting business by Kate in exchange for her services to impersonate Sarah and dupe Benedict into confessing the truth. Jane looks a lot like Sarah but that also means Ben is more likely to react violently towards her. This setting is explored through Kate's point of view.
