"Pregnant women are protected by Saint Simeon, but ignorance of his nameday is punished." The story is told by a woman who has been marked by the saint. Her birthmark determines the peculiarity of her beliefs and is part of her beauty. Passed by the mother to child, tradition, faith and belief are strong and identify ancestral remains of our existence. The legacy lies in folktales, traditional songs, prejudices, superstitions... "The day of this celebration, the pregnant who has to work, should carry a mirror and an iron nail in her pocket. At night she buries her hands in salted water, so as to dissolve the curse."
