East of Beverly follows Stephanie, a 19-year-old aspiring actress raised in the projects of East Los Angeles. In the new America, Stephanie's Grandmother has been living in a constant state of fear since her husband got deported a year prior. Agui, Stephanie's Grandmother, is terrified of I.C.E (Immigration and Customs Enforcement) and she fears that she could be next. On the other hand, Stephanie's dreams of becoming an actress are abruptly halted when she becomes unexpectedly pregnant leading her to face the ultimate decision. Should she remain trapped in the projects and raise a baby for her grandmother's sake? Or should she look into secondary options enabling herself to follow her own dreams?
