Grænsen (1995)

In a classroom in a Swedish school a woman and her 10-year-old daughter holds a male teacher as well as a boy and a girl as a hostage under a gun threat. Through talks, between a couple of police we are told that the woman's asylum application has been rejected. She demands to speak to the Prime Minister and she wants to appeal to the Swedish people through the media to allow her daughter to stay. The woman's desperation grows, like the threat and anxiety of the hostage. In the end, the woman is forced to let the hostage go, forcing the daughter to leave the room. Lonely in the classroom she takes her life.
