Mother-in-Law (2017)

Mistress is a story that takes place in a hypothetical setting called Dai Dien between 1945 and 1950, and revolves around the life of Ba Tran, a southern woman heavily influenced by her education Confucius. Since becoming a bride, Ba Tran has always suffered many misfortunes due to the strict rules of her husband's family. She thought that the tragedy she experienced would make Ba Tran become more selfless and kind to her daughter-in-law. However, due to the pressure to preserve and maintain the family line, she continued to repeat her tragic trajectory with other women when she became a mother-in-law.
