Nishpap Asami (1997)

Sanjay, a truck driver is accused of running over a man, but is acquitted of the charges, due to lack of evidence. He decides to help the family of the man, who died, but the family doesn't accept him. He keeps trying to find ways to help them, but the widow of the dead man hates him, until she finds out that Sanjay didn't kill her husband. Later, Mahamaya, the widow is arrested for killing her husband's murderer, while trying to protect herself from a rape assault. Sanjay takes the blame and surrenders before the police as the murderer. A good natured lawyer helps them prove their innocence.
