New Life of Ghost Town Skrunda-1 (2015)

The sensing system in Skrunda-1 controlled the air area of Europe and controlled the launching process of rockets in North America. On May 4, 1995 the city opened its gated for the first time in twenty years to welcome Latvian selected varieties and VIP-guests and warlords from North Atlantic Treaty Organization. After destroying the Soviet sensing system the city lived for four years but in 1999 the last citizen left the city. Here is the Skrunda-1 of 21st century - shabby and destroyed by marauder. The silent beauty of the zone is taken by stalkers in every shoot.
