When Maya quits her job and moves back to the city to reconnect with old friends, she meets Kendrick, a sexy basketball coach. While she struggles to make moves for her career, he tempts her resolve to stay out of a relationship. Meanwhile, Maya's 17 year old brother C.J. and his best friend Jarvis anxiously await the start of their senior football season. Over the final weeks of their summer vacation, the inseparable friends are faced yet again with trouble - but this time they may need Maya's help.
