In this age of materiality and the inexorable march forward of technology, people easily get blind by the allure of the latest gadget that hits the market. Most of the time, people tend to work precisely for the purpose of buying the latest gadget. In the process, people tend to forget what really matters in life. We follow the story of Juan de la Cruz, a young professional who is trying to make it big in the industry he is in. He has just received his Christmas Bonus and is intent on buying the recently released Phone. On his way to the mall and while stuck in traffic, he was engaged in a conversation with his taxi driver who is waiting for word from his family back in the province. Amidst the contrasting backdrop of the catastrophic devastation wrought by the strongest typhoon on record and the merriment of the Christmas season, Juan de la Cruz realizes what really matters: a complete and happy family and spending time with loved ones. In the end, that really is the best Christmas Bonus one can ever receive.
