Despair

Despair is a realistic Nepalese rooted story of two characters Bire and Kanchhi. Unable to bear the mistreat and exploit of civilian, the couple, who have become intermediaries of change and started a new life by inter-caste marriage move to unknown new place and start earning a living. The struggling couple who imagined a colorful future is forced to live a colorless life because of scarcity and poverty. Bire thus gives up everything and goes to the foreign country with a loan in seek of happiness for his wife and daughter. Bire's hopes are dashed as a result of accident soon after he went to foreign. He therefore returns home with the addition of interest on the loan. The future of Bire and his daughter depends on Kanchhi owing to Bire physical disability. Kanchhi can fulfill the hunger of three families but she determined self to go overseas because she doesn't want her daughter to face the darkness which she is facing. The epidemic of Corona spreads all over the world soon Kanchhi left the country. Kanchhi who went abroad to save her husband and daughter never conveys the news to Bire whether she survives or dies. The long lockdown which stopped Bire's daily work on the river compelled him to become destitute. Bire who lose the hope of kanchhi's returns and couldn't see his daughter's death because of hunger consequently make his mind full of despair.
