Tsyplyonok v kletochku (1978)

A fascinating story about a proud little chicken who did not recognize any other opinion than his own, which is why he constantly got into the most ridiculous situations. But one day a real trouble happened in the life of a chicken. He woke up every morning, put on his favorite checkered hat, went out to the lawn and admired the surrounding expanses that lurked behind a low checkered fence. And an amazing picture opened to the gaze of the chicken: everything in its garden - and the trees, and the earth, and the flowers were checkered, and even the chicken on this background seemed checkered.
