In 2014 the Israeli army began another round of bombardment on the Gaza Strip. Lia Tarachansky is a Russian-Israeli video journalist who reported on the attack, on the rockets Gazan militant groups launched in return, and on the rise of a pro-war movement in Israel. A year later she finds herself with the sounds of the war still fresh in her mind, but the sights of a new life in Canada. Ocean was filmed on an iPhone 5.
