My Familiar (2016)

My Familiar combines live action and animation to show how people can feel lonely and isolated, even when surrounded by others. The use of the animated familiars creates a tangible presence of emotion to draw the viewer into the story and empathize with the characters. Although this film is based around the idea of lonely people, the way in which it can be received is quite open. The animated subjects could represent something different for each viewer.
