Masculinity, queer intimacy and budding sexual desire are examined in this experimental short set to the yearning folk-music of Connie Converse. An experimental short set upon a largely symbolic-erotic stage, THERE IS A VINE explores notions of masculinity, intimacy and budding desire as they pertain to the evolution of modern-day homosexuality. Inspired by the tantalizing photography of Robert Mapplethorpe, it features artists Barry Morse and James Simpson in the first installment of an eight-piece series set to the yearning, nuanced folk music of Connie Converse.
