Actor Stephen McGann, who plays Dr Patrick Turner, takes a look at the social and medical changes that were happening in the UK in the 1950s and 1960s. He speaks with the people who work behind the scenes at Call the Midwife, as well as real midwives, nuns, and doctors who helped deliver babies during the era. This program also features clips from past episodes of Call the Midwife as well as a preview of the upcoming sixth series.
