I Just Disappeared Into You (2017)

Experimental short dance/film directed by the award winning Scottish/Iranian director Roxana Vilk. Shot on location in North Berwick, Scotland and in the south of Iran. Working with Scottish based Choreographer / dancer Skype Reynolds the experimental short was created using thousands of still images to capture the essence of the movements of dancer Skye Reynolds. The dance/film explores our relationship to nature and the nature of movement. In Iran dancing for women is banned, so The dance/ film explores contrasts the movements of dancer/choreographer Skye Reynolds on a beach in Scotland, with the restricted movements of actress Fatima Naderi on a beach in Bander Abbas, Iran. Both women are united by their connection to the sea. Sections of the dance/film are also made up of thousands of still images woven together, exploring new ways capturing elements of the choreography and the 'energy' of the dance. Sound track 'I just disappeared into you' is by the Scottish band GOL.
