New. Years (2017)

Recently professional MMA fighter Dean Wolfe (Chris Savva) is preparing for an upcoming Welterweight title fight, scheduled for the new year. The dedication he places on his new career causes him to neglect his friends and family, blindly unaware that his long time friend James (Bryce Padovan) is fighting his own battle with depression and a lost sense of future aspirations. Deans attempts to contact his friend fall on deaf ears as James - influenced by his brother AJ (Liam Seymour) - purposely ignores his gestures, to avoid facing the reality that life has changed and a that a clear disparity is evident between both men's stages of life. A volatile confrontation eventuates at James' New Years Eve party, that reveals underlying unsaid feelings between the two.
