Checkmate (2011)

Checkmate follows Jimmy, a young man who has spent the last three years looking after his grandfather who has refused to move into a retirement home. Every day they would play chess. Jimmy has no life skills except for his beloved game. In an effort to make something of his life, Jimmy attempts to become a grandmaster just like his grandfather. Whilst committing to an intense training program Jimmy develops a crush on Jess, the girl next door.
