In 1970, Sansa , a mountain village located at 1,400 m above sea level, has been losing its inhabitants at an alarming rate. Whereas 150 people still lived there at the outset of World War II there are only nine left in the early 1970s. In this documentary Philippe Haudiquet takes stock of the situation in this village, emblematic of many others and explores the consequences of rural exodus on the remaining villagers.
