'Objects of Beauty' portrays a woman's life experiences, using earrings, a lipstick, and a hairbrush. First blood, desire, aging, and eventually, this woman's discovery of her own identity, are metaphorically embedded in the represented moment of her adornment in front of a mirror. By revisiting the meanings of beauty and self-reflection, this piece contemplates female identity as it challenges the duality of feminine beauty and the female grotesque.
