A film documenting the French admiration for their allied liberators. The film covers the stories of three veterans of Europe, the accounts of three French citizens that witnessed the German occupation and Allied liberation and two families who have servicemen buried in France. The film documents the celebrations and monuments to the allied liberators in Normandy France. A French citizen who cares for 17 allied graves in American Cemeteries in France tells of why and the importance of doing so. The final act of the film documents that families whose relative is buried in Normandy and what it means to them that their relative's grave is cared for by the French. The film includes interviews with three American veterans, three French citizens and two family members of soldiers buried in Normandy. Footage captured on the 70th anniversary of D-Day is also featured.
