Rize and Kaneki are seen hugging before Kaneki is bitten on the shoulder, Rize then uses her kagune to pierce him in the torso. Next steel beams fall on Rize. Presumably killing her. Kaneki survives and is later seen in the hospital with an oxygen mask.
