The Comic Book Shop was a television sitcom pilot filmed at Corner Comics in Kenmore, WA in the Fall of 2000 and Winter of 2001, eventually screening at 911 Media Arts Center, on Seattle Cable, and on IFilm.com in 2001. The premise was about two very opposite comic shop owners, the guy who hung out there, and the lawyer in their strip mall. The pilot was filmed as a story about a family suing the shop over the value of collectible cards and the future of the store was on the line. Writer/director/lead Jeffrey Lageson was at the time getting roles as an extra, later making a Microsoft commercial, and acted in The Historic and Finding October.
