In Spring 2014, the Sanela Diana Jenkins Human Rights Project at UCLA School of Law established the Restore the Villages Project in the Eastern Congo. The goal of RTVP is to carry out and assess the impact of five forms of intervention in villages that have suffered mass rape attacks by militias or elements of the Congolese army. Professor Richard Steinberg introduces the five interventions: medical; psychosocial; economic/microfinance; ecumenical; and judicial.
