Haunted by the memories of distant battlefields. The Craftsman struggles to reassemble his life. He begins by rebuilding not just his limbs, but his soul. However, his struggle takes on a greater meaning as he realizes that he's not alone. Turning to his fellow veteran amputees, The Craftsman vows to help them all, one limb at a time. We were fortunate enough to have collaborated with award-winning photojournalist, Adam Ferguson, who has been published in The New York Times and Time Magazine, by using his photos in our film in an effort to ground our story in the realities of war. Unbelievably, legendary cinematographer Roger Deakins also had a huge and very direct impact on the film's visuals. Prior to shooting, I posted a question on his website and received a reply from him that served as a valuable guide and reinforced our approach to lighting.
